Office of Undergraduate Admission Data/List Request Policy

Georgia Tech’s Office of Undergraduate Admission (OUA) serves as the stewards of student data from the point of student inquiry until matriculation, at such time the Office of the Registrar becomes the steward of student data for the Institute.

As the stewards of student data, OUA has an obligation to protect student data to the furthest extent possible.

Other offices, departments, and student organizations at Georgia Tech may make data requests to distribute communications, such as lists for bulk emails, printed mailers, or other targeted messaging.

For electronic communications, OUA’s strong preference is to contact students and/or parents via Slate, the office’s CRM. The request to contact students via Slate, along with content of the message, should be delivered to OUA no less than 10 days prior to the requested communication send date (i.e. if the date to send the email is May 25, the request must be made no later than May 15). If you would like to send the communication via Slate, please change the "Type of Request" above to "Email Communication."

If a list is still needed, priority will be based upon the reason for the request as determined by OUA’s data management team. All communications related to the business of enrolling students will be given the highest priority (ex. I-20s, immunizations, orientation, housing, etc.).
